Ontology is a decentralized public blockchain network focused on identity security and data solutions, primarily in Web3. The independent blockchain network reportedly provides a development platform from which decentralized projects can launch and that offers high throughput and low transaction costs.  

The network’s underlying architecture also allows for cross-chain communication and interoperability for any independent blockchain developed on the Ontology platform. The network and its native cryptocurrency, ONT, were both launched in 2018.

ONT is used mainly as the digital asset validators stake in order to be rewarded for taking part in Onotology’s network consensus. ONT price is updated and available in real time on Binance.
