#dusk $DUSK @Dusk I've spent a lot of time going through Dusk's whitepaper lately, and if I had to reduce it to one sentence: Dusk is trying to build infrastructure where regulated financial assets can move on-chain with privacy, fast consensus, and compliance built into the protocol itself, not added later. What actually interests me is how deliberately the pieces connect. Kadcast keeps networking efficient as message volume grows. SA Consensus reaches fast, deterministic finality through rotating, stake-weighted committees instead of a fixed validator set. Moonlight handles transparent activity, while Phoenix keeps other transactions private using zero-knowledge proofs and nullifiers, without exposing the underlying data. Zedger and XSC extend that into actual securities infrastructure — dividends, corporate actions, jurisdiction-specific compliance — built for how regulated assets actually behave, not just how they get issued. Piecrust ties the execution layer together underneath all of it. None of these are independent features. They're one system, each piece leaning on the others. The real question for me isn't whether this design makes sense on paper — it clearly does. It's whether it holds up once real institutional volume runs through it consistently. I looked through CrowdStrike’s latest earnings, and one thing stood out immediately: cybersecurity demand is still holding up strongly.
CrowdStrike delivered an earnings beat, which brought fresh attention back to $CRWD . But for me, the bigger story isn’t just one strong quarter. It’s how AI and cloud adoption are making cybersecurity less of an optional expense and more of a core requirement.
As companies move faster toward cloud, AI, and digital infrastructure, endpoint and cloud security become increasingly critical.
The real question now is valuation. Strong growth is obviously positive, but if the market has already priced in a lot of optimism, even a solid earnings beat may not create unlimited upside.
I’m not looking at $CRWD based on one quarter alone. I’d be watching the next guidance, revenue growth, and whether customer demand continues to accelerate.

Bitcoin's Original Bet I was rereading Bitcoin's whitepaper the other day, and it hit me again — this was never really about money. Not first, anyway. What Satoshi was actually trying to solve was trust. Think about how online payments used to work (still do, mostly). You needed a bank or some institution in the middle, making sure nobody spent the same money twice, stepping in when something went wrong. Bitcoin's whole pitch was: what if we didn't need that middleman at all? Swap it out for cryptographic proof and a network of computers talking to each other. The part that really gets me, though, is how the pieces click together. Every transaction gets announced out in the open. Blocks chain together through hashes, one after another. Proof-of-Work makes it insanely costly to try and rewrite anything once it's been added. Nodes just follow whichever chain has the most accumulated work behind it — and the whole thing rests on one assumption: that honest computing power outweighs dishonest computing power. Even privacy got flipped on its head. Banks hide your transaction history from the public. Bitcoin does the opposite — it makes the transactions public but keeps you anonymous, generating new keys each time so nobody can easily connect the dots back to you. Honestly, what I keep coming back to is how stripped-down the whole design is. No central authority pulling strings. No approved list of who gets to validate. Nodes don't even have to stay online all the time. It all traces back to one question: how do you build electronic cash that works without needing anyone to trust anyone? Kind of wild that the question still feels this relevant, years later.
The part of Dusk security that caught my attention this week wasn’t the hardest cryptography.
It was the layer above it.
$DUSK I went down a Khovratovich rabbit hole Argon2, Equihash, PLONK and it reminded me how deep the cryptographic stack behind Dusk actually goes. PLONK isn’t just a research name either; Dusk uses it in its proving stack, and PLONK V3 became part of the protocol’s consensus verification boundary with Aegis.
But that made me think about a different security question:
Where does the user’s protection actually live?
Protocol security protects what the network will accept.
Infrastructure security protects the services connecting users to that network.
Frontend safety protects the person holding the wallet.
Those are three different boundaries.
And that distinction matters because a Web Wallet warning can protect a user before they make a bad transfer, while someone interacting through CLI or custom infrastructure may not inherit the same guardrail.
I don’t see that as a weakness by itself. A fast application-level mitigation can be extremely practical.
But for a network positioning itself around regulated finance, I think the bigger question is whether critical safety assumptions eventually need to move deeper into the stack.
The strongest security model may not be one perfect layer. It may be making every layer fail safely.
