Equipping AI agents with keypairs and wallets has often seemed like a remedy in search of an issue, leaving many to wonder why an automated program would even need them.
However, a completely unexpected source finally shed light on the matter last month. A network of ~1,200 OpenAI agents started off without access to either asset. Over a period of four days, these agents managed to independently build both for themselves, and they did so while carrying out hacks on two separate companies.
