Trust Has Limits 🧠

I've noticed three concepts getting mixed together in crypto.

Privacy.

Security.

Verification.

They sound related, but they aren't interchangeable.

Let me explain.

🔒 Privacy is about controlling access to information.

🛡️ Security is about protecting systems and their operation.

✅ Verification is about checking whether a particular claim or computation is correct.

Now imagine an AI application analyzing sensitive financial information.

Keeping the information private doesn't automatically prove its calculations are correct.

And proving a calculation doesn't automatically make the underlying information private.

That's why I find the distinction between privacy-oriented AI ecosystems like $VVV and Space and Time's verifiable computation infrastructure interesting.

Proof of SQL focuses on proving that supported SQL queries were executed correctly against committed data.

It doesn't claim to prove an AI model's reasoning.

My takeaway?

The future of blockchain infrastructure won't depend on one magical security feature.

It will depend on combining different technologies that solve different problems.
