South Korea just got its first traditional-bank Bitcoin loan. Jeonbuk Bank (JB Financial Group) has started offering won-denominated loans to corporate borrowers, with
$BTC as the only accepted collateral. The bank never holds the coins — a licensed custodian does — and defaults are recovered through court-ordered sales under civil enforcement rules that took effect Oct 1. The bank stress-tested the model against sharp BTC drawdowns and prices collateral off multiple global exchanges; loan rates and LTV terms were not disclosed. Quiet but real: banks are finding a compliant lane into Bitcoin lending. Not financial advice.
