Bitcoin bulls just got a serious reality check.
After repeatedly struggling around the $87,000 resistance zone, BTC suddenly fell below $84,000, triggering a wave of leveraged liquidations across the crypto market. (MarketWatch)
And this wasn’t a small flush.
According to CoinGlass data reported by The Block, approximately $555.6 million in crypto positions were liquidated over 24 hours, with around $487.2 million coming from long positions. (The Block)
That means a large number of traders were positioned for Bitcoin to continue higher — and the sudden reversal forced many of those positions to close.

Bitcoin’s rejection around $87K appears to have made the market vulnerable.
At the same time, broader macro conditions aren’t helping risk assets.
