This one already has a real-world answer. Trump's newer $5,000 dividend plan, big enough to add up to roughly $1 trillion if it reaches all adult Americans, has already been announced. Bitcoin's reaction Muted, sideways, couldn't even push through $78,000. The test already ran. Here's why 2020 isn't repeating. Back then, Bitcoin had no spot ETFs, fragmented custody, and a genuinely tiny market by today's standards, so retail stimulus money buying in actually moved the needle. That's also why $1,200 invested in April 2020 at around $6,800 is worth over $21,000 today, $BTC was deeply discounted and the market was thin enough for new money to matter. Even back then though, the effect gets oversold. Cleveland Fed researchers who actually studied it found stimulus checks produced roughly a 0.07% permanent price bump, which they themselves called modest next to Bitcoin's normal 4.6% daily swings. The "stimmy money built the 2020 rally" story is a fun meme, the real driver was Bitcoin being cheap and small, not the checks themselves. Today's market has neither of those conditions. It's ETF-driven, institutionally dominated, with single days of fund flows worth more than a stimulus rollout spread over months. $1 trillion trickling into household budgets over time is a rounding error against that. So no, it doesn't repeat, and the market already told us that within hours of the announcement.

Bubblemaps data shows 80% of $LAPTOP traders lost money, roughly 12,000 wallets in total, split into two down $100K to $1M each, about 100 down over $10K, 700 down over $1K, and 11,000 smaller losses making up the rest of that $6.4M. Here's the simple reason it happened At launch, LAPTOP's fully diluted valuation briefly hit $144 billion against a liquidity pool of just $48,000. That's a mismatch of roughly three million to one. Any price built on that little real money underneath it was always going to collapse the moment people tried to actually sell into it. So who was dumping? Mostly market makers doing exactly what they're paid to do. GSR held a loan of 15.5 million tokens for liquidity, Wintermute received 2.5 million from the project and sold 466,255 of them for about $2.08 million. There's also a mystery: one unlabelled wallet received the single largest transfer, 14.5 million tokens, roughly two hours before trading even opened, and nobody's identified who that is yet. Quick update on yesterday's post too I flagged three conditions that could trigger LAPTOP's burn mechanism, and one already fired, its FDV briefly overtook $TRUMP , $4.8 billion versus $2.26 billion. The "muted demand" read I mentioned undersold it badly, this turned into one of the most violent pump and dumps of the year before it went quiet again. Takeaway When the paper value is millions of times bigger than the actual cash sitting in the pool, the crash isn't a surprise, it's the plan working exactly as designed for whoever got there first.

Bitcoin is trading more like GOLD and less like tech. $BTC 90-day correlation with gold just hit its highest level since 2020, while its link to the Nasdaq has plunged. The “digital gold” narrative isn’t just a narrative anymore the market is starting to price it.

🚨North Korea linked hacking group Lazarus is back moving millions in crypto. After the $292M KelpDAO exploit in April linked by LayerZero to Lazarus and the record $1.4B exchange hack in 2025... Arkham now says Lazarus-linked wallets moved another $30M through $HYPE . Are they just laundering old funds… or lining up the next target?

American Bitcoin marks ONE YEAR on Nasdaq with 8,300 $BTC on its balance sheet and nearly 90,000 miners. 🇺🇸 In just over a year, it has built one of the world’s largest public Bitcoin treasuries. Corporate Bitcoin accumulation is only getting bigger.

My answer is NO, and the dominance chart is the reason why. In a real altseason, Bitcoin dominance falls as money rotates down the risk curve into alts. Right now it's doing the opposite, BTC dominance just broke above 60% for the first time in eight months and is targeting the 66% cycle high. Presently, $BTC moved 1.43% while $ZEC moved 8.54%. Bitcoin's still the one setting the pace, alts are just occasionally outrunning it in short bursts. CoinMarketCap's own Altcoin Season Index backs that up, it's sitting in the high 30s to high 40s, roughly half of the 75 reading that actually defines an altseason. What's really happening is narrower than the topic makes it sound. $ZEC is up around 75% over the past week on its own privacy narrative and ETF filing news, not a market-wide theme. $XRP gained close to 44% over the same stretch on its own catalysts. Meanwhile most other established altcoins posted single-digit weeks and went nowhere. That's a handful of names running hard, not a rotation. There's also a timing problem historically. Altseasons have tended to follow fresh Bitcoin all-time highs, not recoveries from a drawdown, and BTC's still well under its October peak. So this is $ZEC and #XRP having good individual weeks inside a Bitcoin-led market, not the starting gun for altseason. That fires when dominance actually turns down, not when a couple of alts have a strong run while it climbs

Bitcoin's golden cross, its 50-day average crossing above the 200-day, has fired 12 times since 2012, and only two of those produced anything close to 300%, February 2012 gained 306% over the next year, May 2020 gained 312%, real numbers, not marketing. Here's what the "twice" leaves out though. Those were $BTC 's earliest, smallest years. Every golden cross since has delivered less: 1. February 2023 gained 43% 2. October 2023 gained 148%, 3.October 2024 rode BTC from $65,000 to over $110,000, still a strong 72%, but nowhere near 300%. The signal works, the magnitude has been shrinking as the market's grown up. That actually makes $100K an easier ask, not a harder one. BTC's sat near $77,800 right now, so getting to $100K only needs about 28%. Even the weakest recent cross, the 43% one, would clear that with room to spare. You don't need a repeat of 2012 or 2020 for this to work, you just need an average one. Two catches worth being honest about. This cross hasn't actually confirmed yet, it's still forming. And this exact signal already got prematurely hyped once this year, back in January, when some outlets called a cross using a different average while the real one stayed bearish. Bitcoin's also just spent 277 days without one, among the longest stretches on record. So yes, $100K is back on the table, and the math barely needs a golden cross overachieving to get there. Whether the cross itself actually confirms first is the part still unresolved.

This isn't Bitcoin's first Iran shock this year, and the scoreboard so far reads decisively one way. Back in April, $BTC dipped to $70,741 on a Hormuz blockade scare and ripped straight back to $75,000 within the same session. In late July, a heavier strike wave liquidated $286 million and BTC barely blinked near $63,900 while the Dow dropped 2.2%. Now it's happened again, $115 million wiped in an hour as fresh US strikes hit Tuesday, and the low printed was $76,229. Bitcoin didn't even touch $75,000, let alone $70,000. That's the pattern worth actually naming: each Iran headline this year has produced a sharp one-hour liquidation spike, then a stabilisation within hours, not a sustained breakdown. The technicals back that read. BTC's 50, 100, and 200-day averages are clustered between $69,221 and $72,397 right now. Getting to $70K doesn't mean losing a round number, it means breaking through three stacked trend lines that have held all year. That's a structural event, not a headline reaction. What's actually worth watching instead: Wintermute moved 5,100 BTC to Binance and a whale deposited over 41,000 $ETH to exchanges during the selloff. Exchange deposits like that can mean incoming selling, and that's real positioning risk sitting underneath the geopolitical noise. So, hold or hit $70K? History and the chart both say $75K holds unless this escalates into something genuinely bigger than another round of strikes. Watch the exchange flows, not the headlines, for the real tell. #BTC Price Analysis#

The flip's real, but it's a one-day snapshot, not a coup. On August 31, Robinhood Chain's apps pulled in $2.66 million in 24 hours, more than $ETH mainnet's $1.28 million. Zoom out to 30 days though and Ethereum's still ahead, $45.8 million to $23.23 million. So what's actually behind that number? $CASHCAT It's been the chain's most-traded token since launch day, north of $890 million in cumulative volume and past 1.5 million trades, named after CashCat, the working title Vlad Tenev and Baiju Bhatt used for Robinhood back in 2010 before the rebrand. Zero utility, by its own admission, pure lore. The token itself claims no official affiliation on paper, yet #ROBINHOOD went ahead and listed it anyway, an unusual move for a weeks-old community meme coin, and traders noticed CASHCAT sitting in Tenev's search history during a recent earnings call demo. It popped straight after. The meme token has surpassed $890M in cumulative volume and 1.5M trades since launch. Its name comes from “CashCat,” an early working name for Robinhood, No utility just lore, liquidity and speculation. A chain built for tokenized assets is currently getting its biggest trading activity from a cat meme, showing crypto remains undefeated.

Strategy bought $370 million of $BTC this week. BitMine bought $131 million of $ETH . Combined, that's the $500 million landing, two different companies, two different stories that happened to close out the same week. Why the same week specifically? Two reasons, one structural, one real. Both firms report their treasury moves on a weekly Monday cadence, so their timing overlapping is partly just the calendar. But the real reason is the rally itself, #BTC up around 22% and #ETH up near 30% over the same stretch gave both men something to react to, just in opposite ways. Saylor sat out the entire rebound before this. #Strategy sold Bitcoin in June for the first time since 2022, kept trimming through the summer, and built a cash pile north of $6 billion instead of buying the dip. Only now, with $BTC holding above $78,000, has he stepped back in. That's not conviction through the storm, that's waiting for the storm to pass. Tom Lee never left, #BitMine has bought Ethereum every single week for 65 straight weeks, through the crash and the rebound both. This week's $131 million pushes it to 4.9% of all ETH in circulation, a hair off the "5% of the network" target Lee's been chasing since day one. He's also pointing to history: the last two times ETH posted a weekly gain this size, what followed wasn't a top, it was a much bigger rally. So "all in" fits one of them properly. Lee's been all in the whole time, rain or shine. Saylor's late to this leg, arriving with a war chest after the hardest part was already over.

Brad Garlinghouse says #Ripple business touched roughly $16 TRILLION in transactions last year! He states this comes after spending about $2.5B acquiring Hidden Road and GTreasury. That’s the part people are missing Ripple and $XRP are not just growing a crypto company anymore, they're buying and building the infrastructure of the NEW WORLD that moves money at institutional scale.

Ondo just hired a policy HEAVYWEIGHT to help shape tokenisation’s rulebook. Allison Parent brings HUGE experience from the Bank of England, Barclays, the U.S. Senate, FSB, IOSCO and CFTC. For Ondo, this is huge, adoption won’t be won by tech alone regulation and institutional access matter just as much. 🔥 We’ve already seen how important strong policy leadership has been for Stellar and $HBAR , getting the right person in this role could be critical to $ONDO ’s next phase of adoption.
