Polymarket completed the plumbing for a regulated US brokerage — and the part that still isn't approved is the one I'm tracking. The National Futures Association has approved PM Derivatives LLC to operate as a futures commission merchant, Reuters reported November 3, so it can carry customer orders and funds as a broker. The catch matters as much as the approval: Polymarket still needs the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's sign-off before it can run the FCM, and the CFTC is investigating the firm. The broker would run fully collateralised — every position funded in full, no margin until a further approval — and completes a three-part structure alongside the QCX exchange and QC Clearing clearinghouse. Existing partners stay; this adds a route, not a replacement. The signal here is intermediation, not election odds: the venue that called the midterms is building broker rails while under investigation. $BTC near $78,056 (+1.5%/24h) on Binance spot is context, not a reaction to this. Does regulated plumbing make prediction markets safer — or just harder for newcomers to enter? NFA, DYOR. #CryptoMarkets #PredictionMarkets #Polymarket #CFTC #Derivatives
