BlackBerry’s QNX business has secured its largest design win to date through an agreement with Coretura, a commercial-vehicle software joint venture between Daimler Truck and Volvo Group. The deal is expected to add more than $100 million to QNX’s royalty backlog as the platform is integrated into future vehicle programs.
The agreement comes alongside a strong fiscal second quarter for BlackBerry. QNX revenue climbed 27% year over year to $80.3 million, while total company revenue reached $163.3 million, up 26%. The company also raised its fiscal 2027 revenue outlook to $616 million–$636 million.
$QNX software is used across automotive systems including digital cockpits and driver-assistance applications. The Coretura win expands its role into software-defined commercial vehicles, while BlackBerry’s updated guidance reflects stronger performance from its automotive software business.
