$HEMI caught my attention because, at first, I was mostly looking at the chart. But after digging deeper, I found its architecture far more interesting than the price movement.

While researching Hemi, I focused on one specific detail: Proof-of-Proof (PoP). Hemi combines Proof-of-Stake (PoS) sequencing with proofs anchored directly to Bitcoin. In simple terms, Hemi’s $POP miners publish network data to Bitcoin, creating a powerful link between Hemi’s history and Bitcoin’s proof-of-work (PoW) security.

What I initially thought was simply "Hemi uses Bitcoin for security" turned out to be much more nuanced. Hemi sequencers still stake HEMI tokens and produce blocks, while PoP adds a secondary layer that makes rewriting the chain’s history exceptionally difficult.

That distinction stood out to me: who produces the chain and how that history is secured are two completely different things.

It makes me wonder: as Hemi scales and grows, can this hybrid model stay highly efficient without eventually relying on a small, centralized group of participants? What are your thoughts?
