Does staking always give you the same amount of governance tokens? A quick test on the STON.fi interface suggests there may be more to the calculation.
I tested the staking form with 87 STON locked for 6 months. The interface showed 3 ARKENSTON as DAO voting power and 21.75 GEMSTON as the staking reward. The GEMSTON amount is straightforward because 21.75 is exactly 25% of 87, giving a clear 0.25 reward ratio for the 6 month staking period.
The ARKENSTON figure is more interesting. STON.fi’s written documentation says that staking generates an equal amount of ARKENSTON based on the STON deposited. However, the interface displayed 87 STON staked alongside only 3 in DAO voting power, which clearly does not look like a simple 1:1 relationship.
It is possible that the displayed number represents voting power calculated through a separate formula rather than the actual ARKENSTON amount. I have not seen enough confirmed information to state that with certainty, so it is better to highlight the difference than make an assumption.
This is a good reminder that $TON staking mechanics deserve closer attention. Testing the actual interface can sometimes reveal details that are not immediately clear from the documentation.
