One of the biggest problems with “DYOR” is that it assumes everyone has the same time, knowledge, judgment and ability to question what they believe. That’s not reality. Some people hear about a project from a friend. Some hear about it in a Telegram group. Some are introduced to it by someone they trust so much that they would even stand in a church and encourage others to buy it. Once that belief takes hold, facts may not be enough to change their mind. And when the project collapses, they don’t always say, “I invested in a bad token.” They say: “I invested in crypto, and crypto failed me.” That distinction matters. One project’s actions can damage how people view an entire industry. A team dump, a rug pull or a hidden liquidity move doesn’t just hurt the people holding that token. It makes the next person more afraid to participate. So no, DYOR is not enough. We need better systems, clearer information and stronger standards that help protect people—even when they are inexperienced, overly trusting or simply don’t know what questions to ask. People should not have to become blockchain detectives to participate in crypto responsibly. If the industry wants mass adoption, protecting people cannot depend entirely on how good they are at protecting themselves. #Crypto #transparency #AccountabilityInCrypto #defi

And when the project collapses, they don’t always say, “I invested in a bad token.”

They say:

“I invested in crypto, and crypto failed me.”

That distinction matters.
