I watched Rogue Trader recently, and one thing stayed with me long after the movie ended.
Nick Leeson takes a small loss. Nothing dramatic. The kind every trader has taken a hundred times.
But instead of closing it, reporting it, eating it, he moves it into a hidden account.
Just for now. Just until the market comes back.
It wasn't the size of the losses or even the fraud that struck me.
It was the psychology of hiding them.
And it made me think about how easily traders can fall into a similar trap, not necessarily by committing fraud, but by refusing to admit when a trade, strategy, or decision isn't working.
One loss becomes: "I'll recover it on the next trade."
The next loss becomes: "I just need one good setup."
And before you know it, you're no longer trading your strategy.
You're trading to escape the consequences of your previous decision.
That, to me, is one of the most dangerous places a trader can find themselves.
As a mentor, I've come to believe that one of the most important skills in trading isn't knowing when to enter.
It's knowing when to accept that you're wrong.
A stop-loss isn't just a risk-management tool.
Sometimes, it's an admission:
"This trade didn't work. And that's okay."
Watching Rogue Trader reminded me that losses become much more dangerous when our ego won't allow us to accept them.
Recently, I’ve been getting into some films about trading. I still have a few others on my watchlist, and there are so many lessons hidden in these stories.
I intend to share some of the insights and lessons that stand out to me as I watch them.
Because sometimes, a trading lesson doesn't come from a chart.
Sometimes, it comes from a story.
Have you watched Rogue Trader? What struck you most?
Robinhood?
Market Makers Just Shifted $PONS Tick Ranges Higher: The $0.660 Breakout Playbook.
Over the last 60 minutes, two addresses (0xf012 and 0xeAbd) cycled over 9.4M $PONS ($6M+) in and out of Uniswap V3 pools.
This isn't dumping it’s concentrated liquidity desks shifting their tick ranges higher to prepare for expansion.
Wintermute just routed 3 back-to-back clips totaling 704K $PONS (~$447K) from their hot wallet straight into their active execution desk (0x51). They’re stacking spot depth ahead of an order-book test.
Concentrated liquidity shifted and market makers are funded. Watch the $0.660 level for the expansion trigger.
The British investor who watched his “lost” Bitcoin turn into $4.5 million after 12 years.
Chris is a regular British guy who quietly became one of crypto’s most unexpected millionaires after a decade of thinking his Bitcoin was gone forever.
Back in 2011, when Bitcoin was still trading below $4, he spent around £1,500 (roughly $2,000) buying BTC through the early UK exchange Britcoin, later known as Intersango.
Then the exchange shut down. Access vanished. For more than 12 years he watched Bitcoin explode in value, convinced his coins were permanently lost.
In 2026, CEL Solicitors and specialist crypto-tracing experts tracked down a dormant wallet linked to former Intersango users holding over 5,500 BTC.
After proving ownership, Chris recovered his share, now worth $4.5 million.Other early Intersango users may still be able to claim their funds if they can prove they owned them.
The real question is: how many more “lost forever” fortunes are still sitting out there waiting to be found?

Market order, limit order or Convert, what's the difference? 👀
If you're just getting started with crypto trading, understanding the basics can make the process much easier.
After funding your account, the general journey is:
Choose a crypto → Convert or Trade → Select your order → Review the details → Confirm
With Spot trading, you're generally buying and selling crypto assets directly.
A Market Order is designed to execute at the currently available market price.
A Limit Order lets you set the price at which you want to buy or sell.
Binance Convert can provide a simpler way to swap one supported asset for another.
Before placing an order, don't just click confirm. Understand the trading pair, check the order details and make sure you understand what you're using.
Crypto prices can move quickly, and the wider crypto market can change rapidly.
Some users explore purchasing smaller amounts over time, but whatever approach you consider, understanding the product and associated risks should come first.
Educational only. DYOR and make sure you understand what you're using.
Market order or limit order, which one did you learn first?
