Chainlink and the race to maintain its position in DeFi

Chainlink is emerging as one of the few large-cap projects that continues to attract long-term capital inflows. While many other crypto ETFs have seen capital outflows, products related to LINK have maintained steady inflows, indicating a clear preference from institutional investors.

The broader DeFi landscape is also improving. Total value locked (TVL) across the market has returned to around USD 170 billion, marking the first time since the post-2022 downturn. This recovery is concentrated in core segments such as stablecoins, real-world assets (RWA), and on-chain data infrastructure.

Chainlink benefits directly from this trend. Its participation in a stablecoin consortium in South Korea places the project at the center of new liquidity flows. At the same time, Chainlink’s Total Value Secured (TVS) has reached a record high of USD 70 billion, reflecting the real-world usage of its oracle system across DeFi and related financial applications.

Notably, capital inflows into LINK appear selective rather than driven by short-term rotation. Compared with other large-cap assets such as Ethereum or Dogecoin, Chainlink is being valued more highly for its infrastructure role and technical foundation.

Overall, Chainlink is no longer viewed merely as a cyclical token. With sharply rising TVS, deep integration into stablecoins, and a clear position within DeFi, LINK is reinforcing its role as core infrastructure rather than chasing short-term price fluctuations.

Crypto Market Update – XRP, ETH, BTC

XRP is approaching the $2 level, which is considered an important psychological threshold. The price is trading below this level after a period of downward pressure. If XRP manages to close above $2 for several consecutive sessions, the recent downtrend would be invalidated, and the $2.15–$2.30 zone could become the next target. Conversely, failure to reclaim $2 would keep XRP trading in a narrow range, with the risk of a pullback toward $1.80–$1.85. The RSI is currently neutral, and selling pressure is weaker than before, suggesting the market has cooled but a new trend has yet to emerge.

Ethereum is showing signs of a technical recovery. ETH has started to form higher lows after rebounding from support around $2,800, and selling pressure following each upward move has eased. If price breaks above the resistance near the 50-day EMA and holds above it, ETH could move toward the $3,300–$3,450 range. Otherwise, sideways trading around current levels is likely to continue.

Bitcoin is currently facing pressure around key moving averages. Breaking above and holding the EMA 26 and EMA 50 is a necessary condition for BTC to target the $94,000–$96,000 area. Failing that, the price is likely to remain range-bound, with the risk of a return to support around $86,000–$87,000 still present. Market momentum points to cautious improvement, but not enough to conclude a strong bullish trend.

Overall, all three major assets are at decision points. XRP needs a clear move above $2 to ease downside pressure. ETH must hold and break above the 50-day EMA to confirm recovery. BTC, if unable to escape its current range, will likely continue to trade cautiously. The general condition remains one of balance, with the market waiting for clearer signals.

Bitcoin – January 29, 2026: Market Update
Bitcoin has continued to face mild pressure over the past 24 hours, recording a decline of around -0.37% compared to the previous day. On a weekly basis, BTC is also down slightly by about -0.82%, indicating that the short-term trend remains unclear and selling pressure has not fully faded. While overall 30-day volatility is still marginally positive, the current price remains significantly below the all-time high (ATH).

In the near term, BTC is trading within a narrow range, with buying and selling forces relatively balanced. The key support level lies around USD 88,422; if this level is broken, prices could be pulled down toward the next zone near USD 87,744. Volume and momentum
Market volume and momentum currently show no clear direction, reflecting a cautious investor sentiment. Bitcoin continues to hover around current levels, accepting a more balanced price zone rather than attempting a strong breakout. The failure to push above key resistance levels suggests the market lacks sufficient strength to establish a new bullish trend.

From a broader perspective, BTC remains well below its historical peak, and monthly volatility has yet to indicate a clear breakout. Recent price action has been relatively quiet, pointing to a phase of accumulation or a market waiting for a larger move.

Overall, Bitcoin is experiencing a mild decline and moving sideways amid the absence of a clear driving force. Support and resistance levels are currently decisive for short-term direction, with the market favoring a price-balance phase rather than a well-defined trend.
