In Russia, a law on the procedure for the arrest and seizure of cryptocurrency has been adopted in the third reading:
- The protocol for the seizure of cryptocurrency must specify: the type of currency, the amount, and the address-identifiers.
- Holders or access to cryptocurrency must be stored in sealed form.
- For the safety of digital currency, it may be transferred to a special address; the procedure for transfer and storage will be determined by the government of the Russian Federation.
- The transfer of seized cryptocurrency to a special address-identifier is allowed if technical feasibility exists.
