🚨 Solana nearly faced a total interruption of transaction confirmations! ⚠️

On August 12, a routing issue with infrastructure provider Teraswitch led to the temporary unavailability of about 28.83% of the $SOL staked.

This figure was very close to the critical threshold of 33.34%. If that threshold were exceeded, it would permanently prevent the network from confirming transactions.

The network was not completely paralyzed, but this incident revealed a major risk: concentrating a large portion of staking on the same infrastructure can make a simple outage capable of affecting the entire network.
