Monero longs on Gate were getting paid to hold 12 hours ago. Their next funding payment works out to about 72% a year. XMR jumped about 11% to $645 by 05:55 UTC, per CoinMarketCap, and still trades near $635 while Bitcoin is down 2% at about $81,700. Gate's XMR perpetual settled funding below zero at 00:00 UTC. The 08:00 UTC payment came in at +0.0445%, and the next one is set at about 0.065% per eight hours. Bitcoin's on the same exchange is 0.0056%, less than a tenth of that. At that rate, a $10,000 XMR long pays about $20 a day to stay open. Hyperliquid charges funding every hour, and its current XMR rate of about 0.0295% comes to roughly $71 a day on the same size, or 0.7% of the position. Funding resets fast, and these rates can halve by tonight. XMR is also still about 20% under its January high near $799. A long paying 0.7% a day loses money if Monero just goes sideways. $XMR #Monero #Crypto NFA. DYOR.

They wrote Monero's obituary in February 2024, when the world's biggest exchange delisted it. Binance's frozen spot ticker still reads $118.70 — the last print before the lights went out. The tape never got the memo. $XMR trades at $612 this morning (+5.7%/24h), tapped $631 overnight, on $106M of spot volume in a day. My 4h chart: $520 → $613 in twelve days, clean higher highs and higher lows. This isn't one coin's luck. Privacy is the market's live rotation — ZEC just cracked the top 10 by market cap near $1,290 while BTC and ETH sit flat on the week. Capital is paying for privacy-by-default while the majors chop. $XMR $118.7, +4.77% — yeah, not the memecoin circus. Privacy's actually getting bids while shitcoins dawdle. $BTC $83,794 inching up, but $ETH $2,469 and SOL $106.53? Coasting. Breadth's 9 up/3 down, mostly small-cap fart bubbles. XRP $1.36 leading on volume, +2.32%. Real mover's ZEC $1,306, +6.54%. Second day in a row. Either someone sniffed something or it's the same squeeze that lit NEAR last week before it face-planted. My take: these alt runs don't stick. $XMR's different — it ignores the herd. But ZEC and NEAR? Same damn loop — pump, fade, rinse, repeat. Waiting for $BTC to actually drag the boat instead of floating beside it. #Monero #Zcash #CryptoMarkets

Best Monero (XMR) Exchanges Without KYC in 2026The Monero exchanges that still work without KYC in October 2026 fall into four groups, and first on this list is GhostSwap (ghostswap.io). It is an instant exchange where standard swaps need no account and no ID, and XMR is paid to your own wallet. After it come two P2P marketplaces, two atomic-swap apps and a wallet with a built-in exchange. Several large exchanges have delisted Monero, so this list sticks to routes that need no ID. Each entry reflects what the project published as of early October 2026. 1. GhostSwap (instant swap) GhostSwap swaps XMR in both directions against 1,600+ coins and pays out to your own wallet, with no balance held for you. Its Monero page is ghostswap.io/monero-exchange. Good to know: ●  The rate floats with the service fee built into the quote, and you see the lower and upper limits before sending. ●  Paying from Tron or Solana usually takes 5 to 15 minutes; paying from Bitcoin takes about 20 to 60. ●  $XMR that arrives can be spent once it has 10 Monero confirmations, roughly 20 minutes. ●  Live since October 2024. Every swap has its own status page, and support answers by live chat or at support@ghostswap.io. 2. Haveno / RetoSwap (P2P marketplace) RetoSwap operates a public network on Haveno, the open-source peer-to-peer software, with apps for desktop and Android. Deals are made directly with another person, for fiat or crypto, and neither side needs an account or ID. Good to know - ●  Open trades are secured by 2-of-3 multisig; the arbitrator controls just one of the three keys. ●  Most offers ask for a security deposit. Deposit-free offers protected by a passphrase are open to buyers for up to 1.5 XMR. ●  A trade can take under an hour or several days, depending on the payment method. 3. Bisq 1 (P2P marketplace) Bisq 1 runs on desktop and needs no account or ID. Its only Monero market is XMR against BTC. Good to know - ●  Each trader locks up BTC as a deposit, and altcoin trades are limited to 0.25 BTC. ●  The newer Bisq 2 has no XMR market yet, so Monero trades stay on Bisq 1. 4. BasicSwap (atomic-swap DEX) BasicSwap is a self-hosted app for atomic swaps between XMR and BTC, LTC or other listed coins. No third party ever holds the coins; each side remains locked on its home chain until the swap finishes or refunds. Good to know - ●  Its README lists no trading fee on top of network fees. ●  You run a wallet for each coin you want to trade. ●   The newest release at the start of October was v0.18.10, from 29 September 2026. 5. eigenwallet (atomic swaps from BTC) eigenwallet, previously named UnstoppableSwap, is a Monero wallet and swap app for Windows, macOS and Linux. It covers BTC to XMR only, at rates set by independent makers. Good to know - ●  A failed swap comes with a 24-hour refund window. Leave the app closed past that point and you risk losing the BTC. ●  Atomic swaps generally take 30 minutes or longer, because both chains need confirmations. 6. Cake Wallet (in-app swaps) Cake Wallet is an open-source, self-custody wallet on mobile and desktop that keeps XMR alongside BTC, ETH, LTC and more. There is no wallet account to create. Good to know - ●  The swaps themselves come from third-party providers, not from Cake. ●  The rate is displayed before you confirm. How to pick - ●  Holding BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC or SOL already: a swap service is the most direct way into XMR. ●  Paying by bank transfer, an app or cash: Haveno / RetoSwap is the no-ID choice. ●  Holding BTC and wanting no middle party: BasicSwap or eigenwallet. ●  Wanting one app to hold and swap: Cake Wallet. Swap to XMR with GhostSwap - 1.  On the Monero page, pick your deposit coin and set XMR as the coin you get. 2.  Type the amount, then check the XMR estimate, network fee and limits. 3. Paste your Monero address (95 characters, starting with 4 or 8) and your sending address as the refund address. 4. Make the deposit and note the swap ID, your key to the status page. Q: Is it still possible to swap Monero with no KYC in 2026? A: Yes. Swap services, peer-to-peer markets and atomic-swap apps all work without an account. Centralised exchanges that still list XMR ask for ID. Q: Why is XMR missing from big exchanges? A: Several large exchanges have dropped Monero, and others restrict it by region. That leaves swaps, P2P markets and atomic swaps as the main routes without ID. Q: How do I sell XMR later without signing up? A: GhostSwap converts XMR to BTC or USDT and sends it to a wallet you control. Bank payouts are not offered, so turn the BTC or USDT into cash through a service you already use. Disclosure: this post is sponsored by GhostSwap. #Monero #XMR #NoKYC #CryptoSwap $BTC $USDT

🛠 $XMR | Monero's 35-line point release: tiny diff, security-sensitive paths Monero has published v0.18.5.4, Fluorine Fermi, Point Release 5.4, described as a minor release containing bug fixes. Among the highlights: a fix to DNSSEC validation for checkpoints, blocklists and update checks, and a restoration of string-to-integer conversion in JSON RPC requests, which the notes say will be removed in v0.19 as a breaking change. The release credits 2 contributors for 6 commits containing 35 new lines of code. Why it matters: A very small diff can still touch security-critical plumbing, since DNSSEC validation underpins checkpoints, blocklists and update checks. 💬 For a privacy-focused project, is frequent small patching the right release rhythm, and how should users weigh temporary fixes like the RPC change? XMR pruning tool proposes adding failure checks | Not yet merged into an official release | Wait for confirmation near $634 My stance is cautious: security fixes in code deserve attention, but an open pull request should not be treated as positive news that has already gone live, let alone as a reason to chase the price higher. PR #11592, submitted to Monero’s official code repository on October 21, addresses a problem where monero-blockchain-prune could report success even if the final database write failed, and replace the original database. The proposed fix is to verify that the write succeeded and preserve the original database if it failed. The page shows that two reviewers have approved it, but as of the time I checked, its status was still Open. That means it is a fix awaiting a merge—not a mainnet upgrade that has already been deployed—and there is no evidence that users have lost funds because of this issue. The connection between this and XMR’s price is indirect. Pruning the blockchain can reduce the storage burden on nodes; if the tool clearly reports errors and preserves the original database when a write fails, node operators may face lower recovery costs and less risk of misjudging the situation. Over the long term, more people willing to run their own nodes could benefit network resilience and the privacy experience. But whether the PR is merged, when it makes it into an official release, and whether node operators actually adopt it all still need to be verified separately. It does not change XMR’s supply, nor does it mean new buying pressure has appeared today. Turning development progress directly into a short-term price target is the logical leap I most want to avoid. As for the market, at the time of writing, XMR/USD on Kraken was around $633.92, with a daily open of $621.33 and a rolling intraday low of $575.33 and high of $634.45. The price is near the day’s high, suggesting buyers have the upper hand, but this rally cannot be attributed to the PR above. The $634–$635 area is the immediate confirmation zone; $621, near the daily open, is the first level to watch on a pullback, while $600 is a broader risk threshold. These are trading reference levels, not precise measures of the project’s value. If the price breaks out but quickly falls back below $621, I would abandon my short-term bullish view. If it falls below $600 on rising volume, I would no longer use this development news to defend a bullish position. If I were trading this myself, I wouldn’t chase the price here or short strength that hasn’t been invalidated. I would consider a small spot long only if the price holds firmly above $635, remains above that level on a retest, and volume continues to support the move. The initial position would be no more than 2% of total capital, with no leverage. My first target would be $648, where I would take half off; I would look for the remaining position to reach around $660. After entry, I would set a stop below $621 and close the position if a retest fails to hold $621 or if the PR’s status or facts change materially. Even if the price hits the target, I would scale out if momentum fades. If none of these conditions are met, I would stay out of the market rather than present an observation as a record of profit. What is really worth tracking is the merge record and the next official release notes—not just a headline. #XMR #Monero The above is solely my personal market observation and does not constitute investment advice.
