This week, the unlock wave is coming in—totaling over $30 million released. A few key milestones are worth keeping a close eye on:
On 7/15, Connex unlocks 1.32 million tokens, about $28.67 million, accounting for 1.45% of the circulating supply. The single transaction amount is the biggest, but its percentage is relatively low—its impact is comparatively more controllable.
On 7/16,
$ARB unlocks 92.65 million tokens, about $8.53 million, representing 1.65% of circulating supply. As the L2 leader, liquidity is ample, and historically it has digested similar unlock scales multiple times.
On 7/17, deBridge unlocks 618 million tokens, accounting for 11.43% of circulating supply—the most concerning item this week. The larger the share, the easier it is to pressure the market and trigger a sell-off.
On 7/17, YZY unlocks 20.83 million tokens, or 4.1%—moderate pressure.
When judging the impact of an unlock, don’t look only at the dollar amount. The percentage of circulating supply is the more real signal of sell pressure. DBR’s 11.43% is far more worth setting risk controls for than CONX’s $28.67 million.
Will you reduce your position early to avoid the drawdown, or wait until the sell-off creates a dip before entering?
