📊 Eight shuttered factories and a consortium that wants to get them up and running
An alliance between the U.S.-based Sunergon Oil Operating, LLC and Venezuela’s Empreservinca (Empresa de Servicios Industriales Alloys, C.A.) has formally submitted an application to the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP) to manage, modernize, and operate for 15 years a group of eight pipe and valve plants that are currently completely idle. The industrial complex is spread across five states: Carabobo (IMOSA in Puerto Cabello and Invetubos in Valencia), Lara (Tubhelca in Barquisimeto), Anzoátegui (Helvesa in Barcelona and Enaval in Anaco), Zulia (Atlántida Socotherm and ZYP on the Eastern Shore of Lake Maracaibo), and Guayana (Tubos Sin Costura, part of the CVG).
