Former Clickout Media employee and poker journalist Blaise Bourgeois says his X account was hacked and deleted after he published criticism of the company.

In a Substack post published on July 30, Bourgeois said the compromise happened after his April article about Clickout Media.

He also claimed emails related to the incident and conversations with journalists critical of the company were deleted. He wrote that Clickout Media was "likely" responsible for the hack but did not provide evidence supporting that allegation.

The claims follow his April 16 Substack article criticizing Clickout Media after leaving the company in 2025. In that article, he alleged the company prioritized SEO driven affiliate content over journalism, continued using his byline after his employment ended without permission, and said he planned to pursue legal action over alleged wrongful termination and defamation.

Bourgeois also claimed Card Player Magazine, acquired by Clickout Media in December 2024, would stop printing physical editions. Citing unnamed sources, he wrote the magazine had been losing $750,000 per year before that decision.

Most of the latest Substack post focuses on personal updates, including his work as a research statistician for FOX's FIFA World Cup coverage, his participation in the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event, and his stay in Brazil.

The section discussing Clickout Media is brief and does not provide additional evidence supporting the allegation about his X account.
