🏆 The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) comes to an end today.
🇷🇺 Students from Moscow and Saint Petersburg won 2 🥇gold medals and 2 🥈silver medals; congratulations to Vladislav Zhiganov (2nd overall), Maksim Kravchenko, Sergei Mukhanov and Vladimir Zvezdin!
🇺🇦 Ukraine won 3 medals: 🥇one gold medal for Vladyslav Kharchenko, and 2 🥈silver medals for Illia Shevchenko and Daria Perekopska 💪.
🇧🇾 Belarus earned 1 🥇gold and 1 🥈silver medal, won by Kiryl Kardash and Fiodar Sashko, as well as two bronze medals from their team members.
🇰🇿 Kazakhstan also performed well, winning 1 🥇gold medal and 3 🥈silver medals, which allowed them to finish among the top five as a team, while Maksim Tsoy placed 5th overall.
🇰🇬 Kyrgyzstan earned 2 🥈silver medals and 2 🥉bronze medals. 🤝
🇺🇿 Uzbekistan, the host country, had an excellent showing: 1 🥈silver medal for Jakhonali Khaydaraliyev and 3 🥉bronze medals.
🇨🇳 However, the best results were from China 👏.
At today’s awards ceremony, the IOI organizers are handing out the 188 Algorithm Cups 🎁🎁🎁 to the winners. The organizers of the sister olympiad, IOAI, are sending the 220 Intelligence Cups 🏆🏆🏆 to their winners remotely.
These are the only digital collectibles that Telegram has issued this year, so they could be worth much more than the $1,000 guaranteed for gold medals.
