I’m 57. I’ve been in the market for 15 years. I started back on Cryptopia—a New Zealand exchange that was hacked in 2019. I still haven’t managed to get my money back from there. Today, that would have been a good sum.
Then I moved into mining with graphics cards. At the time, ETH was worth $12, and the rigs paid back quickly. After that, I switched to S9 ASICs. There was everything—ups and downs, gains and losses.
Now I’m not chasing x-multiples. I just hold USDT in Earn at 7%, BTC and SOL in spot, and I set limit orders in advance. No leverage, no memes, no emotions.
💡 After 15 years, I learned one thing: the market isn’t about speed. It’s about who survives.
Young people want everything and right now. And I just want to preserve what I have and grow it slowly. Boring? Maybe. But reliable.
By the way, payments are currently underway on Cryptopia. If anyone there has funds stuck, look for the Grant Thornton claims portal. There’s a chance to get back part of it.
