Bancamiga found a specific niche for extending credit: healthcare. In partnership with the TecnoFarma pharmacy chain, the bank launched a closed-loop credit card that works only at the 57 locations in its partner network. The initial issuance is 4,000 cards, with revolving credit limits starting at between $300 and $400. This is not a mass-market product, nor is it intended to be: it is a pilot program with its own scoring system, sector-specific credit limits, and a close eye on how the first cohort pays during the final quarter of the year.
