BINANCE HACK UPDATE: AROUND $3 BILLION FROZEN 🔒🧊

💰 Frozen assets: Binance says the verified total frozen is now around $3 billion, up from the $2.54 billion figure shared earlier. The number may keep rising as tracing continues.

⏸️ Trading paused: The exchange has paused Binance Alpha trading and some Spot wallet token purchases for security checks, and deposits and withdrawals are temporarily suspended. Trading will resume once the incident is resolved.

🛡️ User funds: Binance says user funds are safe and it will cover all hacking losses. It is working with law enforcement, stablecoin issuers and blockchain intelligence firms to trace and freeze more assets.

⚠️ Note: $3 billion is the amount frozen, not the confirmed loss. The actual damage is still under investigation, and a full post-mortem will follow once the review is complete.

Every exchange claims top-tier security, yet incidents keep arriving right on schedule, so that claim is getting harder to believe. Freezing funds is good, but preventing the next one is what users need to see.

Good morning! I'm genuinely surprised by some people's opinion that news about the platform hack is just a rumor or PR.

As someone who does business in the real world, I can confidently say: this is definitely not a situation where the rule “there’s no such thing as bad publicity” applies. Binance’s fundamental task is to be secure. I'm sure @CZ and the whole team would be glad to see a good rate of $BNB , since that directly affects their money.

But honestly, I have no doubt the team will do everything necessary to save the situation. Though, frankly, I think a pullback in response to this news is still possible. The main thing is that the old geezers in politics don't pull anything new now—or we might have to say hello to the rate of $BTC and other important things like $NVDA
