🚀 SpaceX is preparing to launch the latest O3b mPOWER satellites for SES

On September 13, SpaceX plans to launch three O3b mPOWER satellites — F11, F12, and F13 — on a Falcon 9.

📍 Launch — from SLC-40 at Cape Canaveral.
🕐 The planned launch window opens at 14:49 EDT / 18:49 UTC, i.e., about 21:49 in Kyiv.
📅 Backup date — September 14, if the launch is postponed.

This mission is meant to complete the initial deployment of the O3b mPOWER constellation of 13 satellites into medium Earth orbit (MEO). SES’s system is designed for high-speed satellite communications with low latency.

It’s important not to mix up the companies here. SES is the operator and the customer of the satellite system, Boeing is the manufacturer of the satellites, and SpaceX is the provider of the Falcon 9 launch.

🇷🇺🛰️ BREAKING: Russian President Vladimir Putin says Russia has begun deploying its own low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation, designed as a domestic alternative to SpaceX's Starlink.

According to Putin, the network will support military applications including heavy drone operations, secure communications, AI-enabled systems, and battlefield connectivity.

He also stated that Russia plans to expand the constellation significantly, describing the current number of satellites as insufficient for full-scale deployment.

The project is widely associated with Russia's "Rassvet" satellite program, which aims to provide sovereign satellite communications capabilities for both civilian and military use.
