Just finished reading the S3 Partners report. These past few days, the long-versus-short battle involving $SPCX has been extremely intense. The short sellers (air force) began accumulating 23.3 million shares on June 16, then surged to 219.3 million shares—about 34% of the float. Nominal short position: approximately $24.6 billion. Borrowing costs and utilization rate: roughly 1.37% in the early listing period, fell to 0.51% by the end of June, then rebounded to an average of 2–3% (new borrowings close to 4%), with utilization as high as 95%. You could say that right from the beginning of the listing, major institutions started borrowing shares to short. $SPCX became their favorite target for shorting. The position changes coincide with the company’s first earnings report on August 4 and the end of the first lock-up period on August 6, when up to about 911 million shares could be released. The market is unfolding an intense long-versus-short game. The shorts are betting on supply shocks and a reversion in valuation, while the longs believe in Starlink and the long-term growth outlook. On one side, institutions are shorting; on the other, retail investors have been aggressively buying. Rating agencies have raised their target prices—it's a full-on mixed battle. The shorts haven’t disappeared. As more locked shares are released, this fight will only become more intense. #SPCX #SpaceX #S3Partners #多空博弈 #美股 $BNB
