Rescue teams are still digging through the rubble. Tens of thousands of people are reported to still be missing according to unofficial lists that are circulating. Every minute that passes can be the difference between life and death.
The United States has deployed more than 900 personnel in Venezuela, along with hundreds of support staff in the Caribbean area. Various countries are also sending humanitarian aid.
