Who took to the streets

At least four mass groups have been confirmed to stage simultaneous demonstrations in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building today, each bringing different agendas:

AMPB
Allied Communities of Pati United
Two main demands: accelerating the passage of the Asset Forfeiture Bill and applying the death penalty for corruptors. Coordinator Supriyono, alias Botok, said the action is an organic movement, not funded by any party, and focuses on peaceful means without any intention to unseat President Prabowo or Vice President Gibran.

AMDB
Allied Communities of Depok United
About 2,000 residents marched from an audience at the Depok City Legislative Council the day before, then joined the rally in Senayan. Their demands include the passage of the Asset Forfeiture Bill, the death penalty for corruptors, and calls to stabilize prices of basic necessities.

People’s Movement Alliance Suing
This group of students and civil society carries the widest-ranging agenda: ten demands covering the economy, employment, education, health, disaster issues, military-related matters, and the criminalization of activists—including calls for political accountability from the government.

Volunteers from Madura Guarding President Prabowo’s Program
Going in a different direction, this volunteer group from Bangkalan, Madura, instead took to the streets to support President Prabowo’s priority programs, especially the Free Nutritious Meals program (MBG), while also requesting an evaluation of its implementation on the ground.

The crowd began to pack Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto; the route from Kuningan to Slipi was closed. Some residents even slept on cardboard overnight ahead of the action.

In the morning
Banners bearing demands such as "Seize the Assets of Corruptors, Execute Corruptors" were installed at the main gate, complete with replicas of a body-casket bearing the same demands.
Tensions briefly rise

The crowd of online ride-hailing drivers briefly exchanged heated words with the police because logistics vehicles and ambulances were deemed to be blocked from entering the front area of the building. The Central Jakarta Police Chief went down in person to meet the crowd and promised that logistics would not be obstructed.

In the Abdul Muis Room, Nusantara I Building, 14 AMPB representatives were received for an audience by Vice Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, accompanied by Saan Mustopa, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, and BAM Chairman Andre Rosiade.

The DPR leadership together with AMPB and the Aliansi Rakyat Indonesia Peduli (ARIP) signed a written agreement regarding the target for the enactment of the Asset Seizure Bill.
