Date: In Venezuela there are currently 8,500 mobile payment transactions per minute
For Cavecom-e President Richard Ujueta, mobile payment is a solid indicator of the country’s economic digitalization.
Updated data from the Venezuelan Chamber of E-Commerce (Cavecom-e) show that so far in August in Venezuela there are 8,500 mobile payment transactions per minute.
The head of the business group, Richard Ujueta, noted that mobile payment is a solid indicator of economic digitalization and highlighted the increase in the use of this payment method, which reached 6,000 transactions per minute in 2025, and that by June of this year it exceeded 7,000 operations.
“ We have the highest financial transaction in Latin America and one of the highest in the world. 99% of transactions are carried out digitally and in bolívares,” he said.
Likewise, the business representative pointed out that the industry group he leads has promoted digital transformation through electronic invoicing, stressing that this means the taxpayer receives less inquisitive treatment, as reported by Últimas Noticias.
