The Iranian Armed Forces announced this Saturday the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic in response to Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, holding the United States accountable for breaching the memorandum of understanding that ended the war, according to the IRNA agency.
The Headquarters stated that the closure of Hormuz is the first step in the "response to the enemy's failure to meet commitments," referring to the United States for not stopping the attacks from its ally Israel in Lebanon.
