After taking profit on my $ETH short position last night, this happened. Here is the ETH chart after a significant drop.

Interestingly, during the early morning hours—just as
Asian traders were prepping their breakfast—the market makers executed a lightning-fast pull upward, triggering a massive bounce back.

This is a classic example of an institutional "liquidity sweep" or "stop hunt." By aggressively driving the price down first, they triggered retail stop-losses and trapped breakout shorters. Once the cheap liquidity was secured during the low-volume transition into the Asian session, they cleared the board with a sharp V-shape recovery.
