I took $BABY trade at the start of the binance creatorpad campaign but than i have decided to go for holding this asset, right now it shows 2.20% loss but as i researched - this project is quite promising on long term.
Hmm..... So this is Tuesday night and i kept digging into @BabylonLabs_io . Their "no-fork slashing" approach is genuinely creative. Bitcoin doesn't support native covenant functionality, so TBV constructs a covenant-like spending path using pre-signed Taproot scripts. If an operator misbehaves, the EOTS recovery process exposes the required signing key, allowing anyone to broadcast the penalty transaction and seize the offender's collateral.
I have to admit, that's an impressive engineering workaround. Building enforcement logic on Bitcoin without changing Bitcoin itself is no small achievement.
But here's the part I keep coming back to. The slashing transaction is still just a normal Bitcoin transaction competing for block space. During periods of heavy congestion, miner fees can spike dramatically. If broadcasting that penalty costs more than the value recovered, who is actually motivated to submit it? A deterrent only works if someone is economically willing to pull the trigger.
So when I think about the long-term Babylon ecosystem, I'm less interested in how elegant the theoretical game model looks on paper. Look, what really matters is whether slashing remains economically executable when Bitcoin is under stress. As n@tive $BTC staking continues growing, I think the real metric to watch is the execution rate of penalty transactions during major fee spikes.
Because in the end, that may be the difference between a security model that looks convincing in documentation and one institutions are actually willing to trust.

There’s some good news, too. Cipher wrapped up their Black Pearl center two months early, and it’s already generating cash.
