🚨 BRAZIL: COINEXT IS SHUTTING DOWN ITS EXCHANGE — PAY ATTENTION TO THE DEADLINES FOR TRADING AND WITHDRAWING FUNDS
Brazilian platform Coinext has confirmed it is shutting down its cryptocurrency trading and custody services.
⚠️ If you have funds on this platform, pay attention to the schedule.
📅 KEY DATES (Argentina and Brasília time)
🔸 15/10, 23:59: last chance to sell cryptocurrencies on Coinext.
🔸 20/10, 23:59: deadline to request cryptocurrency withdrawals to another wallet or platform.
🔸 From 26/10: Coinext will begin liquidating any cryptocurrencies still in its custody at market price and crediting the equivalent in Brazilian reais (BRL).
🔸 Withdrawals of balances in reais will remain available, with no deadline announced.
🛡️ WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAVE FUNDS?
1️⃣ Go directly to the official website or app and check your balances.
2️⃣ Consider selling before 15/10 or requesting a withdrawal of your cryptocurrencies before 20/10.
3️⃣ If you transfer funds to another wallet, carefully verify the address and network used. A mistake could result in the loss of funds.
4️⃣ Don’t expect a guaranteed price in the automatic liquidation: it will depend on market conditions.
📊 OUR TAKE
Coinext’s closure comes amid regulatory changes and restructuring in Brazil’s crypto sector.
This does NOT mean that Brazil has banned cryptocurrencies or that all platforms are shutting down.
❗ IMPORTANT: Coinext (Brazil) and CoinEx are different platforms.
