🇫🇷🇩🇪 France and Germany have agreed to study the creation of a European alternative to Palantir’s military platforms in order to reduce dependence on American software. The aim is to build a full-fledged sovereign digital infrastructure for storing and processing data, protected by cloud services, artificial intelligence, and command-and-control systems for troops.
As a basis, France proposes Arcadia, its own battle management platform that integrates intelligence data, helps analyze the situation, and supports decision-making.
At present, similar tasks in NATO are largely handled by Palantir’s American Maven system, and Alliance representatives previously acknowledged that they do not have a fully-fledged European equivalent.
At the same time, both countries want to create a single standard for data exchange between fighter jets, drones, and other combat platforms, even if they are developed by different countries.
