▶️ Starting July 22, rival app stores can set up shop inside Google Play itself and offer nearly its entire app catalog. It’s the biggest change to how Android apps are distributed since the platform launched. It's the final fallout from Google's long court fight with Fortnite-maker Epic Games, which also cut Google's app commission from 30% to 10%. Epic won, and it wasn't even close.

🛰️ Amazon says its Leo satellite internet service now has enough satellites in orbit to start serving customers, setting up a direct challenge to SpaceX's Starlink for beaming broadband to homes that cable can't reach. The constellation is still tiny compared to Starlink's, but a price war in satellite internet would be good news for anyone stuck with one rural option.
