CATS @ASCIIcats_’s core gameplay centers on the “9 lives” mechanic. It combines NFT collecting with on-chain mini-games—very simple, yet deep.

📌 Core Gameplay: Nine Lives

Each cat comes with 9 on-chain lives at minting—this is the project’s main utility:

- **Respawn（burning a life rerolls）**
Spend 1 life → all of the cat’s attributes are completely rerandomized.
And the more lives you burn, the better your luck gets: you’ll randomly select an attribute to get extra dice rolls (greatly improving the odds of winning rare attributes).
On the 9th respawn, the probability of a Legendary attribute is 3× the initial rate!
Goal: chase the rarest—and best-looking—ASCII cats.

- **Catnip Yield**
Alive cats automatically earn $ASCII tokens every day.
The more lives they have, the higher the yield. Cats at 9/9 have the highest yield; after burning lives, the yield decreases.
Pure-yield players will try not to burn lives.

- **Revive**
Buy back lives with $ASCII (the price increases with every revive).
Most of the revival fee is destroyed (deflationary), and a small portion is distributed as dividends to Pure Nine players.

- **Ghost Mode**
Burn all 9 lives → the cat turns into a gray ghost (eyes are x.x).
Ghosts can’t reroll and can’t earn yield, but they can still be traded.
Revive anytime with $ASCII to turn back into a normal cat.

- **Pure Nine Club**
A 9/9 cat that never burns even 1 life will receive extra rewards: it gets 9% of all revival fees.

🎨 Attributes & Rarity

- Cats are made entirely of pure ASCII characters (6 major categories combined: hat, eyes, mouth, neck accessory, belly, tail, etc.).
- There are about 70,000+ possible combinations, but only 3,333 are minted.
- Respawns are for rerolling into rare combinations (Rare / Epic / Legendary).

- Pay for revival costs.
- Distributed as daily Catnip yield.
