NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA)'s latest push into the infrastructure supporting AI chips extends all the way to the power grid. According to a report from The Information, published on August 7, NVIDIA will spend up to $3 billion in Lancium, a power infrastructure developer and the firm behind the Stargate data center project in Abilene, Texas. The deal is structured in two parts: an initial $2 billion for a roughly 20% equity share in Lancium, followed by an additional $1 billion based on the company meeting particular goals, mainly securing additional grid interconnections.
