The Minister of Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá, confirmed that unit TZ5 at the G/J Rafael Urdaneta Thermoelectric Complex in Zulia has come online, adding 150 megawatts to the National Electric System (SEN). According to the official, the startup is part of the plan announced days ago and will have a direct impact on the Zulia region. He added that work is continuing to bring TZ7 and TZ2 online, two additional machines at the plant, as well as recovery work at Planta Centro in Carabobo.
