10 years in the crypto circle—if you still believe the market runs on luck or indicators, we probably can’t talk together
12 years as a programmer (up to 2026), same name across the internet: Crazy Jerrick. Automated Master’s degree, former Microsoft engineer, Senior Software Engineer II. Been in the crypto circle for 10 years. Not only have I not made money, I’ve also lost dozens of times. I’m not afraid of you teachers laughing—my understanding of the crypto world is still at the level of elementary school students. Like many others, I used to think trading depends on luck, on talent, on indicators, on news, and on other people. Later I found none of it worked—so you still have to rely on yourself. That’s why now I’m all-in on crypto. What truly changed me wasn’t some magical metric, but the start of re-understanding the market with constantly upgraded cognition.
I suddenly realized, so many people missed the mark this round. So next, what will these teachers who missed the mark choose to do? Definitely not shorting BTC, and not going long on BTC, but instead looking for altcoins with a good pattern, a good story, and consolidation long enough—something logical—and then going long. Go long stubbornly. That’s exactly what it is. The script is: this weekend, Big Biscuit and the mainstream are both consolidating and resting at high levels, and all kinds of altcoins are taking off. $ASTER Let’s wait and see. The above is only my personal trading analysis records and does not constitute investment advice.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such neatly ordered net inflows of ETF funds.
I haven’t publicly analyzed the ETF fund flows for crypto for two days now. The first two days were spent watching the order book, placing trades, and reacting to news. But ETF fund flows didn’t seem to be getting much attention. It was only on the day BTC started—8/19—that I paid a look. Back then, I just noticed one fairly consistent phenomenon: BTC, as well as ETH and SOL, all showed net inflows of ETF funds at the same time. Then around 8 p.m. that same night, BTC kicked off. However, over the following two days, it seems I ignored the ETF fund inflow/outflow situation. I was busy checking the chart. Then today I looked again and found that it’s not just BTC and ETH—SOL too. And ETF funds for even more coins like HYPE, LINK, DOGE, and XRP are also all showing net inflow. That kind of consistency only shows up in a bullish market environment. So no matter what, net inflows of ETF funds mean institutions are optimistic about the continuation of the trend ahead. Don’t short against the trend. Don’t short against the trend. Don’t short against the trend. Unless you see reversal signals.
As for my personal trading approach: I’ll wait for BTC to pull back and then go long. I’ll handle smaller disagreements with continuation/absorption, and for bigger divergences I’ll look for a consolidation breakout after the second dip.
The above is only my personal trading analysis record and does not constitute any investment advice.

Today’s crypto ETF developments feel a bit consistent in the same direction—let’s break it down:
1) BTC ETF fund flows have shown net inflows for two straight days, but compared to the day before, yesterday’s net inflow has clearly decreased. This suggests that large institutions’ buying interest at this level isn’t unified enough. The big BTC is still hesitating below the downward trendline from this earlier 1-hour move. I did get stopped out again, but I still placed a short trade. I’m using a tight stop to bet on a bigger opportunity. My trading logic is: BTC’s ability to lead/drive is still not strong enough here. Overall, it’s still a bit bearish.
2) Over the past five days, ETH ETF fund flows have been net inflows on four of those days. From price action, ETH looks relatively strong as well. It has already broken through the 1-hour timeframe triangle convergence pattern, but it hasn’t formed an effective big bullish candle. The main reason could be that it’s waiting for BTC to break out effectively and for signs of stabilization. Another driver for ETH strength is that the Ethereum Foundation has kicked off the “glamsterdam” testnet, followed by upgrades across subsequent phases. If going long, prioritize ETH; if shorting, choose BTC.
3) After SOL’s ETF fund flows had zero net inflow for five straight days, it finally saw a small rebound. Yesterday’s net inflow was 1.6M, and this is the first time in the last month (and I didn’t go back further to trace before that) that BTC, ETH, and SOL all had positive net inflows at the same time. This could become a turning point—or it could just be a node when BTC breaks a key level. But until BTC confirms it, all of this is only assumptions.
4) Hype’s ETF fund flows have been zero for six consecutive working days. However, Hype’s price is also relatively strong. For Hype, as long as there isn’t net outflow, it’s likely still a positive. After all, it’s burning every day and buying back every day.
In terms of my personal trades, I still hold a BTC short, as well as shorts on BCH and XRP.
Anyway, in recent days, aside from BTC, my BCH and XRP shorts have already been held for many days. There still hasn’t been meaningful profit—so they’re relatively weak. I can only wait for a big move to come.

I said yesterday that Hynix is now the big boss in storage. Although yesterday Micron also put out some good news—"Micron launches the Micron Research Lab, planning to invest $10 billion over the next decade." But without Hynix's momentum, Hynix is still the leading big brother that rises during the day. At night, it’s Sandisk that becomes the leading big brother for the decline. This morning, I also chased a small long position. Very quickly, it hit the take-profit level. That also serves as a proof of its logic. If today Hynix breaks through 1270, then in the subsequent period, we’ll still look for a sideways-to-upward trend.

After getting encrypted, are people still trading US stocks?
After the good news that Hynix released yesterday, this is still a place where you can bet on long positions. But since the trades from yesterday have all turned a profit, the sense of opportunity here doesn’t feel as attractive anymore. I’ve basically allocated 80% of my position to crypto, and only kept a small short-position allocation for SpaceX. Actually, my understanding of SpaceX has been correct all along. Unfortunately, it’s simply too strong. As a result, even after the current unlock expectations have played out, I still haven’t been able to secure a significant profit. But it’s already pretty good. As long as you don’t lose money, profits are just a reward for one’s understanding. I can only say my own understanding isn’t quite enough yet. But no matter what, I’m still improving. That’s good too. For this unlock round, tonight I personally think there will still be a decent wave of downside. As for other Tradfi stocks, I still have a relatively favorable view of Hynix—because the Korean guys always buy with the intensity of digging into their last reserves.
I might finish this wave on SpaceX first, and then look for long opportunities in Hynix. That one is, after all, a medium-to-long-term opportunity.
Also, one more thing: before yesterday, the leader in storage was SNDK. When SNDK rose, everyone rose; when SNDK fell, everyone fell. But yesterday, Hynix announced a buyback. So the leader switched back to Hynix. When Hynix rises, everyone rises; when Hynix falls, everyone falls. Because of the good news, during the上涨 process, the leader always surges the most and drops the least. So in each round, who to buy—it's all crystal clear.
This meeting (Beijing time, Aug 21, 01:00–04:00) is already over. The conclusion is that it is strongly favorable for crypto exchanges: 1. The CFTC has started preparing its own Crypto Market Structure Rules: If the CLARITY Act in Congress continues to get stuck, the CFTC is preparing to push the rules on its own. This is actually much more valuable than a simple statement like: “I support Crypto.” Because it means: the regulatory framework for the U.S. crypto market doesn’t necessarily have to wait for Congress.
2. The CFTC will study allowing currently registered—and some currently unregistered—Crypto Exchanges to offer leveraged / margined crypto trading under the CFTC framework: This overlaps heavily with Hyperliquid’s core business. What is Hyperliquid’s most essential offering? On-chain perpetual contracts + leveraged trading. So this isn’t generic “crypto good news.” Instead, it’s: a regulatory framework that the CFTC is designing, which in theory could cover the business model that Hyperliquid operates.
3. Selig also discussed On-chain Finance. He has already instructed CFTC staff to connect with developers of on-chain finance protocols to research how these protocols can operate legally and compliantly in the U.S.: The meaning of this sentence is huge: the CFTC is not just trying to regulate Coinbase / CME. It has already started considering: how On-chain Finance can enter the U.S. regulatory system. This effectively opens a door for: DeFi, DEX, Perp DEX, and on-chain derivatives.
My personal trading thesis is that I still hold Hype’s long positions: 1) Technically, Hype is still consolidating at high levels, with higher lows and higher highs. 2) Although Hyperliquid hasn’t been directly named as having obtained U.S. regulatory licenses, the purpose of the entire meeting is still to move exchanges like Hyperliquid toward compliance. So the medium-to-long term outlook remains strongly bullish. 3) Recently, trading volume has been unusually large, which has boosted Hyperliquid’s buyback capacity considerably. 4) I haven’t seen any major negative feedback from BTC. As long as BTC remains consolidating at high levels, you can keep holding. #BTC突破$72000
For this post, I’ll keep tracking it like this. I haven’t put in much myself. I started with 50U, and then before posting today I put in another 50U. Pullbacks are inevitable. I’ll set a 10x small goal first—no big deal.

Let me share my own prediction. With this kind of strategy used by the market now, a bull market is inevitable. And the timing of the arrival of “the bull comes” is the starting point of this cycle. So for the coin called “Niulai,” I’m extremely, extremely bullish. #牛来 $牛来
Just my personal opinion, not investment advice of any kind.
Although the previous tweet praised Hype from the perspective of funding and technicals, but as a news-driven trader, I still prefer assets driven by news. The reason this round of Hype is so strong is that those who are actually doing the work may have planned it well in advance. That’s why it’s showing such strength from the technical and capital perspectives. On the news front, last night Trump barked that: “CFTC Chair Mike Selig is working to bring Hyperliquid into the U.S. in a ‘fully compliant and legal’ way.” What’s interesting is that this news has follow-ups, and they’re coming soon: “On August 20, the CFTC will hold its first Innovation Advisory Committee meeting, with topics including: Crypto assets, AI Prediction markets, DeFi / on-chain finance, etc.” So there’s a lot of content here, and the narrative is powerful as well. It may end up benefiting the entire crypto world.

Bullish
The account has hit a new high—let me share my thoughts on my next steps.
I still woke up on time at 6 this morning.
Seeing how the ETH and SOL I chased last night are still continuing to push to higher levels, they’ve really been doing well.
That also means my earlier analysis on ETH was able to explain some underlying logic. 1)In this recent bear market, while most BTC is seeing net outflows, ETH is still showing net inflows via ETF capital. 2)From the K-line technical pattern, it’s clear that ETH is stronger than the big pie (BTC). And the current SOL technical setup speaks for itself as well. 3)Finally, it’s about when BTC prints a big bullish candle—who rallies along with it, and whose move is the strongest. The strongest one is the one you get on. No doubt, I saw the Hype, ETH, and SOL.
Yesterday, during the day, I held short positions on BTC, BCH, and XRP. But seeing that the two weakest mainstream coins, BCH and XRP, were both still moving up, I decisively flipped from short to long—entering ETH and SOL. Then after the first wave of a big bullish candle on BTC, around 11 last night, I added more to SOL and ETH.
This morning, what was rising the most best was actually HYPE, and it was already nearing the previous high. So I first opened a starter position. After HYPE breaks above the previous high, I’ll add more. For this round, what I’m most bullish on is Hype. I remember that one of my earlier analysis posts about ETF capital mentioned the reasons.
Also this morning, I added to a short position on SpaceX, because it’s still trending weakly. The bad news won’t fully land until tonight, and there’s room to the downside—at least I expect to see the issue price of 135. Based on the last time on 8/6 when it was unlocked, once it lands it will start to rally. But this time I think it could be different—we’ll need to watch based on the strength at the time and the overall market environment. Personally, I think after it lands there may still be another leg of downside. After all, China only pulled down its future valuation a bit yesterday. If things are steadier, you can take profit on a portion after it lands.
The above is just my personal trading analysis and record, and does not constitute investment advice.

So for the coin called “Niulai,” I’m extremely, extremely bullish. #牛来 $牛来 Just my personal opinion, not investment advice of any kind.
Let me explain why this is not good news! The success of Zhuque-3 is not simply about SpaceX making less money; it’s about weakening the valuation premium the market is willing to pay SpaceX for its “future monopoly/near-monopoly capability.” We can simplify SpaceX’s valuation using a beginner-friendly model: Company value ≈ Future profits × Valuation multiple the market is willing to grant For example: SpaceX earns in the future: $10 billion per year The market is willing to pay: 30x Then: Valuation = $300 billion If a competitor appears afterward: Future profit expectations become: $8 billion At the same time, the market believes SpaceX no longer has an absolute monopolistic position, so it only offers: 25x Then: Valuation = $250 billion Notice: Profits drop by only 20%, but valuation may drop by 33%. That’s why: A technological breakthrough can cause stock prices to swing far more than the “real business impact.” Because what the market trades is future expectations. When you buy its stock, you’re buying the valuation premium for its future prospects. Of course, SpaceX really is a great company. In the past, people might have thought SpaceX’s stock would be worth $300 in two years; but looking today, SpaceX’s stock might only be worth 280 yuan in two years. So for SpaceX, this is a negative. $SPCX # Zhuque-3 major breakthrough

Isn’t this good news? It shows that more and more capital is betting on the space industry.
The sharp drop in the memory storage sector last night was something that could be expected to be reflected in South Korea’s reaction this morning. Lately, the impression has been that whenever Hynix surges, South Korea’s market basically sees a surge at the same “level.” And when Hynix drops, it signals an index-level decline. Both big gains and big drops will trigger a suspension of algorithmic trading. The pause can’t stop the decline; it only slows the pace of the fall. It gives retail investors a chance to manually close positions, so institutions can’t automatically take profit and cut losses through algorithmic trading. Last night, the US stock storage sector saw a major pullback, which basically suggests that today South Korean investors will again follow their emotions and smash Hynix into the ground. If Hynix continues to lead the declines, that would be completely normal.
Although I was repeatedly hurt by storage stocks before. But yesterday, I still mustered the courage to take Micron back after the first bearish (red) candle. At the time, I thought Micron was the weakest of them when it was rising, and I didn’t expect that it would also be the weakest when falling. But in any case, it means I got back a bit of my blood. $SKHYNIX Today I’ll keep watching.
China’s major breakthrough with the “Zhuque-3” rocket is a real, tangible negative for SpaceX. Add to that SpaceX’s unlock/release tomorrow, and the potential profit from today’s short could be smoother than you might expect. This morning I also added to my existing short position. It’s just that the entry price of my short wasn’t ideal, so I’m still in an unrealized loss state up to now. But as long as the news backdrop remains, I will remain steadfast in holding. $SPCX The above is only my personal trading analysis record and does not constitute investment advice.
It seems SanDisk is the big brother leading the pack. With SanDisk just making a move, all the other little followers have to drop. Whether it’s the crypto market, the US stock market, or the A-share market, or Hong Kong stocks, or the Korean stock market— all of them have to look at SanDisk’s face. It’s really too strong.

This round of losses from SanDisk should have wiped out quite a number of people. A few days ago in my post I mentioned: if you’re going to short storage, don’t short SanDisk. SanDisk is the leader—the big boss. Everyone’s attention is focused on SanDisk. Big money, large institutions, and major operators love the big short positions you hold. Instead, you should short the two followers: MU and SK hynix. But even so, I was stopped out repeatedly and kept getting hit. In the past couple of days, my account has been slowly bleeding back too. That shows that SanDisk is truly strong. The followers don’t just get some soup—they also get meat to eat. The earlier post was already beaten into compliance. Now I’m coming out to repent a bit.
I do see a lot of KOLs who are stubbornly holding onto SanDisk. Every day they’re atoning for not stopping loss sooner.
But every day they also add to the position and go all in hard. They’re fighting the market—against human nature. Sooner or later, you’ll get a loud, dramatic lesson that teaches you. Every trade must come with a stop loss. No matter how convinced you are that it’s at the end and should be coming down. If it really does drop, then add more. Isn’t that right? But what if it doesn’t drop? What if one big bullish candle breaks above the previous high? How many “what ifs” can your account withstand? Put yourself in their shoes and think about your own problem. If I were them, what would I do? Would I stop out immediately? I think I would. I would open trades with stop losses every time—not not using stop losses, endlessly adding to positions to lower the average price, and endlessly praying and panicking.
Of course, what I’m saying here is conditional—“if.” Because I haven’t reached that big a capital size, maybe I can’t really understand their feelings. So I’ll repeat the same line: trading basically doesn’t have fewer twists and turns. If you manage to take fewer wrong turns, you won’t get to where you are.

Today’s big jump in SpaceX—this was to be expected, but also outside of my plans: 1) Last Friday, the disclosure of large holdings in SpaceX stocks by major investors was actually to set up tonight’s squeeze. For example, Harvard University, Alphabet, Nvidia—those are strong endorsements. Long-term investors are the ones holding large sums; they don’t care about short-term volatility. So today’s rise is also deliberately released by the main players as good news: first, blow up the shorts, and then use the upcoming stock unlock to force another round where the longs hand over their shares. After the bad news lands, then harvest the remaining shorts. 2) When everyone knows that there will be a stock unlock on the 20th, shorting has to choose a relatively good price, and leverage can’t be too high. 3) I set my stop-loss at 150. In fact, I know that if it breaks above 150, it will most likely just poke up a bit (like a pin) and then continue falling. But for now I’m controlling risk more and not fighting the market. Because after it breaks 150, you don’t know how far it will go. Even low-probability events are still probabilities—many large amounts of money have been lost this way.
Also, I’ve stopped out all my BTC short positions, and the stored short positions. The stored position is completely against the trend, and even if the “small弟” is opened as a short, it’s still a position against the trend. Also, earlier today, the A-share sector for stored/“存储” had a huge bullish candle. Now it looks like holding shorts on stored really doesn’t have much logic anymore— it seems like in the past half month, there hasn’t been any money made on stored at all. This should be recorded. To deepen the memory.

Everyone around the world knows that SpaceX is set to release 320 million shares to the market this week, and the previous round of share unlocks has already proven that the unlock landing is a positive catalyst.
This time, it will be a “chip pressure test day,” and it may be different: 1) The reason the first round of unlocks could rally so high is that many big institutions, large financial groups, and big companies were waiting to buy at lower prices to allocate SpaceX into their funds or reserves according to their respective plans. But by the time of the second unlock, these large institutions may already have been configured/allocated to a large extent. So after the second round of unlocks, the real buy-side demand may not be as疯狂 as it was in the first round. 2) From expectations alone, stock unlocks have always been a negative message until the actual event lands. This time it will definitely be accompanied by a pullback, and the size of that pullback will determine investors’ outlook for what comes next. Personally, the shallower the pullback, the more violently the stock will rise after the negative is absorbed. 3) Compared with the previous unlock: before the stock unlock, the night before—before the earnings report was released—SpaceX’s stock went through a frenzy “short squeeze” surge. After the earnings report’s good news was released, a big bearish candle (a long red candle) directly signaled a smooth downturn. Then, once the stock unlock actually landed, Spacex successfully completed a second dip and turned around, and that’s when a smooth uptrend began. This time, there’s inevitably going to be a short-squeeze-like move as well; but this time, there won’t be any earnings report good news as a catalyst, so the upside is relatively limited—most likely staying below 149. 4) Around the stock unlock, there will be two Starlink launch missions. If they succeed, it’s standard procedure. But if there’s any abnormality or failure, it will further amplify the negative sentiment from the stock unlock.
In terms of operations: personally, before the stock unlock lands, I won’t chase longs on any rise; instead, I think it may be an opportunity to attempt shorting. After the stock unlock lands, I’ll decide whether to go long based on the situation, rather than short. $SPCX
Bullish, this asshole, can it reach 0.1? I set my take profit at 0.1! I also only started following it yesterday. Because yesterday was basically the second day after the breakout. I just felt that this MEME is the first coin that has really gotten popular on the BSC chain recently. Personally, I don’t think it’ll just die off that quickly! If we want the market to heat up again, we need a narrative and a coin with a strong profit effect to lead the way! Bullish—maybe it is, and it’s only the first season! There’ll be a second season, and a third season afterward! Of course, this also needs Bitcoin to cooperate. If at this time Bitcoin comes with another daily-chart-level big bullish candle, then it’s over—altcoin MEME season is starting!

SpaceX 8·14 anomalous signal: 14 news flashes, 7 major institutions openly signaling, and once the acquisition was completed it dropped 3%—what are the fund managers thinking?
I didn’t talk about SpaceX in the previous post; I saved it specifically for here because its performance yesterday (August 14) was simply too unusual. Let me share a few of the anomalies I observed:
1. News feed spam frequency is abnormally high: According to data from Jin 10, on August 14 throughout the day, SpaceX was mentioned 14 times (excluding duplicate reposts). How high is this frequency? For comparison: on the same day, Nvidia was mentioned only 10 times, and SanDisk 7 times (SanDisk was mentioned 11 times on the 13th, and its share price rose 15% that day). SpaceX’s visibility is clearly out of the ordinary.
