If banks take control of XRP, then the state and banks would be able to monitor and control all transactions in the system. All transactions would become transparent, traceable, and fully subject to taxation and regulation.

In such a scenario, cryptocurrencies that are truly decentralized, like Bitcoin or Monero, might face pressure: governments could restrict exchanges, make conversions to fiat harder, and increase oversight, potentially causing their value to drop. On the other hand, XRP and other bank-controlled digital currencies could rise, since their adoption by banks and states would make them widely used, faster, and fully integrated into the financial system.

In short, what we discussed is this: if banks and states adopt XRP as their main infrastructure, it would give them complete control over all digital money flows. This is exactly the opposite of the vision of freedom predicted in The Sovereign Individual, where technology was meant to empower the individual rather than the state.
