What if this current bottom takes us back to another bottom, only for the market to bounce, retest the lows, and then slide even further before finally finding its true bottom? 😳

I am among those who have lost a significant amount of money on this platform over the past few months; my entire capital has been wiped out. Some people are telling me to delete the app and my account, and to go look for other work, but my heart and mind cannot accept this. I don’t see what I did wrong—I felt like I was a good trader—yet now everything has come to an end, and I have lost everything.
The huge fall in Alphabet stock on October 29, 2026, was mainly caused by disappointing earnings, massive AI spending, and concerns about Google’s search advertising business. Shares fell around 13%, putting approximately $500 billion in market value at risk.
Here are the 4 main reasons.
1. 💸 Massive spending on AI
Alphabet spent approximately $51.4 billion on capital investments during the third quarter, much of it related to AI infrastructure and data centers.
Even more concerning, its free cash flow turned negative, reaching approximately −$9.1 billion. Investors are questioning whether Alphabet will generate enough returns to justify this enormous spending.
2. 🔍 Google’s search business is slowing
Google makes a substantial amount of money from advertising in its search engine.
However, search revenue growth slowed to around 12%, below analysts’ expectations of approximately 15%.
Investors are also concerned that AI chatbots could change how people search for information, potentially threatening Google’s traditional advertising business.
3. 📉 Earnings disappointed investors
Alphabet reported:
* Revenue: $127.6 billion, below expectations. * Net income: $26.17 billion, down approximately 25% year over year. * Adjusted earnings per share: $2.67, below the $3.02 analysts expected.
The results disappointed investors who had anticipated stronger financial performance.
4. 🤖 Investors fear AI spending may not pay off
Alphabet’s Google Cloud business performed strongly, with revenue more than doubling to $30.71 billion.
Nevertheless, investors are worried that the company is spending enormous sums competing in the AI race while its traditional search business faces increasing pressure. Management also indicated that capital expenditure would increase substantially in 2027.
