Gulf Labs, Part of Thailand’s $27 Billion GULF Group, Selects Injective for its Institutional Push
Gulf Labs, part of Thailand's $27 billion GULF Group, has selected Injective to deploy its institutional validator and will collaborate with Injective across tokenization, stablecoins and enterprise distribution.
Injective will also work with Binance TH, a joint venture between Gulf Edge and a Binance affiliate.
Binance TH is licensed by Thailand's Ministry of Finance and supervised by the Thai SEC, bringing institutional onchain products to Thailand's regulated market.
GULF spans energy, telecom, digital assets and data centers. Now it all connects to the first blockchain built for finance.
Injective Whitepaper Recasts INJ Chain Around Tokenized Finance
The new Injective whitepaper marks the first full rewrite since December 2018, when the project described a front-running-resistant exchange protocol on Ethereum. Eight years later, the protocol is pitching something considerably broader: a layer-1 blockchain built around institutional-grade finance and tokenization.
The premise is straightforward. Every layer is designed around issuing real-world assets and giving them utility across markets, applications, and AI agents.
Injective Whitepaper Puts Asset Issuance First
Native RWA tokenization sits at the center of the new architecture. Assets can use role-based permissions covering minting, sending, receiving, and burning, alongside programmable receive hooks and sealable namespaces.
Then comes iAssets, which provide stablecoin-margined, oracle-priced derivatives tracking external assets without wrapping or pre-funding them. That’s a fairly ambitious stack.
Onchain Trading Gets A Different Structure
Tokenized assets can trade through a fully onchain CLOB, with each block running a sealed frequent batch auction at a uniform clearing price. The design is intended to resist front-running and ordering MEV.
Settlement runs through BFT consensus with a greater-than-two-thirds commit threshold, delivering deterministic finality with approximately 600ms blocks.
Meanwhile, native EVM and WASM operate within one canonical state. The MultiVM Token Standard keeps a single balance per asset across the bank module while exposing that balance to Solidity through precompiles.
AI Agents And Derivatives Join The Same Stack
The architecture also includes perpetuals with time-weighted premium funding, margin checks, reduce-only liquidations, and insurance funds.
Then there’s agentic finance. AI agents can interact with tokenized assets through MCP servers, policy-bounded signing, and x402 machine payments using USDC.
Finally, onchain protocol revenue flows into the recurring Community BuyBack for INJ. The Injective whitepaper therefore lays out a chain covering issuance, trading, derivatives, settlement, composability, and agentic finance under one protocol.
Today, the Injective Foundation is introducing the Injective Trench Treasury. A brand new initiative to directly support ecosystem projects that drive value to $INJ and the broader Injective community.
The Treasury will have two primary mandates.
-> Back the teams building with INJ. -> Reward the ninjas who have loyally stood with Injective ecosystem projects, through new programs built specifically to give back to them.
The selection criteria are intentionally broad so the widest range of builders can qualify. Key parameters used to assess eligible projects include:
-> Built with $INJ at the core -> Broad, organic holder distribution -> Real liquidity and sustained community activity -> Fair launch with no outsized team allocation -> Innovative tech and value accrual mechanisms
The trenches are where new users arrive, communities form, and the next generation of Injective builders gets its start. The Trench Treasury exists to recognize and accelerate that culture.
Stay tuned as we reveal more. It's time to win together.
Today we are releasing the new Injective Whitepaper.
It is the first full rewrite since our original paper in December 2018, which described a front-running-resistant exchange protocol on Ethereum.
Eight years later, Injective has evolved greatly into becoming a layer-1 blockchain for institutional-grade finance and tokenization. Every layer of the protocol exists to issue real-world assets and give them real utility across markets, applications, and AI agents.
$INJ Injective Rewrites Whitepaper for the First Time Since 2018: Positioning as a Layer 1 for Institutional Finance and Asset Tokenization
Injective has just released a new version of its whitepaper the first comprehensive rewrite since the original from December 2018. This is not a minor update; it is a complete repositioning.
Key highlights:
New Positioning: A Layer 1 blockchain designed for institutional-grade finance and Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization, covering the entire asset lifecycle from issuance to trading and settlement.
New Mechanisms: Native RWA tokenization and "iAssets" derivatives.
Trading Infrastructure: An on-chain Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) and price settlement via confidential, high-frequency batch auctions.
Consensus: BFT-based consensus providing deterministic finality with ~600ms block times.
Technology: Native EVM and WASM support; risk management for perpetual futures and financial products assisted by AI.
Tokenomics: On-chain protocol revenue will be directed toward periodic INJ buybacks driven by the community.
This is a clear strategic move. While many other Layer 1 networks are vying for market share in DeFi or memecoins, Injective is targeting institutional finance and RWAs, a market with vastly greater potential, albeit one that demands higher standards regarding regulation and infrastructure.
The price of INJ is currently reacting negatively (-7.91%). However, that is a short-term trend. The long-term question is: can Injective truly become the infrastructure that channels institutional capital into crypto? If so, this whitepaper could mark the beginning of a new cycle.
Injective is repositioning itself for institutional finance what do you all think about this move?
Injective ETF Could Arrive Before 2027, Says CEO Eric Chen
Eric Chen expects a U.S. Injective ETF launch before 2027.
21Shares and Canary Capital both updated their SEC filings in September.
Injective is expanding U.S. licensing and institutional tokenization infrastructure.
Injective CEO Eric Chen expects an Injective ETF to reach the U.S. market before 2027. Two applications already sit with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Both issuers filed amended registration statements in September, showing continued progress. The development comes as Injective expands licensing and institutional infrastructure in the United States.
Injective ETF Applications Advance Through SEC Review Process
According to The Block, the 21Shares Injective ETF and Canary Staked INJ ETF remain the two active proposals. 21Shares filed an amended S-1 on September 18 for its Nasdaq-listed TINJ fund. The product would hold INJ directly and leave staking decisions to the issuer.

Canary Capital also updated its proposed staked fund with Amendment No. 3. The Canary product would trade on Cboe BZX under the ticker INJS. Its filing proposes holding spot INJ while staking at least 90% of U.S. institutional holdings.
Chen said the Injective ETF timeline now looks faster than he initially expected. He did not provide a specific launch date. However, he said waiting until 2027 appears too distant based on current progress.
Injective ETF Push Expands With Licensing and Tokenization
Injective Institutional Services became an SEC-registered transfer agent in August. Chen described that registration as the first step in a wider U.S. licensing strategy. He said additional licenses remain under development.
The network also launched its Meridian upgrade on September 24 after a governance vote. Injective designed Meridian to support live tokenization, collateralization, and compliant transfers for institutional users. Chen said the upgrade could help affiliated entities handle settlement functions.
Injective is also expanding its regulatory position outside the United States. The project completed and published an INJ MiCA white paper in Europe. It is now listed in the European Securities and Markets Authority interim register.
The Injective ETF push arrives alongside broader ecosystem developments. Injective said more than 7.2 million INJ have been burned through its Community BuyBack. The network has also processed more than three billion transactions, including 42 million during the past 30 days.

Injective has officially brought INJ to Solana through Sunrise, with launch liquidity on Raydium and day-one integrations including StonkFun. This gives Solana users direct access to INJ and lets creators use INJ as a base pair for new token markets.
$JUP
And this week, Injective published an official guide showing INJ swaps through Jupiter, confirming another major Solana access point is now available.
But the bigger story is what comes next.
Injective says additional Solana integrations covering trading, wallets, market data and lending are planned, while its tokenized-asset infrastructure continues expanding.
So INJ is no longer only an Injective-native story.
It now has a direct connection into the Solana ecosystem.

🚨 SEI JUST MOVED CLOSER TO ITS BIGGEST UPGRADE YET
Sei’s latest verified development is Giga moving deeper into mainnet preparation.
The network’s Eidos storage upgrade is rebuilding how Sei handles onchain data, while the broader Giga roadmap targets 200,000 TPS. Sei says Eidos is designed to address storage as a scaling bottleneck.
There’s also a fresh technical signal: sei-chain v6.7.0-rc4 was released on October 1, showing active preparation at the protocol level.
And another upcoming event is already on the radar: CoinGecko currently lists the next SEI token unlock for October 15, involving 55.56M SEI.
So the real SEI story right now is simple:
Giga is advancing — while supply events remain something to watch.

Injective is about to get its own memecoin ecosystem...
@Injective is making a clear push into the memecoin space. The layer-1 blockchain confirmed that two token launchpads are now live on its network: @runupdotfun and @sproutsomefun. The move marks a notable expansion for a chain better known for its decentralized derivatives and order-book infrastructure.
Two Platforms, Two Approaches
@runupdotfun takes a hybrid approach. According to community reporting, @runupdotfun is bringing memecoins and stock perpetuals together, combining a pump.fun-style bonding curve with derivatives-style execution via a request-for-quote model. That blend of speculative token launches and structured trading sets it apart from most launchpads in the market.
@sproutsomefun serves as a more straightforward token-launch platform. Users can launch tokens on @sproutsomefun, with the platform positioning itself as an accessible entry point for new projects building on Injective. Early data suggests the arrival of both platforms is already having an effect: the Sprout launch on Injective attracted thousands of new users, while the RunUp launch generated notable retail activity on the network.
Why This Matters for Injective
Injective is a layer-1 blockchain built around financial primitives. It provides core financial infrastructure including a fully decentralized, MEV-resistant on-chain order book, with spot, perpetual, futures, and options markets all running fully on-chain. Adding a memecoin layer on top of that foundation is a calculated bet that retail-driven activity can deepen liquidity and broaden the network's user base.
Memecoins remain a divisive corner of crypto, but their capacity to drive real on-chain engagement is hard to dismiss. The sector's total market capitalisation rebounded to roughly $47 billion in early 2026, demonstrating that retail appetite for speculative tokens has not faded. For alternative layer-1 networks, that activity translates directly into transaction volume, fee revenue, and new wallet growth.
$INJ is deflationary by design, with a monthly community buyback that permanently removes tokens from supply. As network activity grows, more INJ is permanently removed from circulation. A sustained rise in on-chain activity from launchpad trading could therefore have a compounding effect on the token's supply dynamics.
Whether the Injective memecoin ecosystem gains lasting traction will depend on execution, community adoption, and the quality of projects that emerge from both platforms. But the infrastructure is now in place.

SEI is back in focus after REX Shares and Osprey Funds updated their SEI staking ETF documents, with October 23 listed as the new effective date.
That puts SEI directly into another institutional-product storyline.
But there’s more happening underneath.
Sei is also building toward Giga, its next-generation high-performance architecture. On September 23, Sei Labs highlighted Hermes, the planned consensus system designed to deliver fast and stable finality.
So SEI now has two narratives developing together:
Institutional access + major network infrastructure.
The market reaction is what matters next.

INJ Price Eyes $16 Target After Cup Handle Breakout
INJ price breaks above weekly cup and handle structure.
Injective Meridian upgrade adds tokenization and privacy features.
Analysts monitor $7.20 support after recent breakout.
INJ price is showing renewed momentum after Injective completed a cup and handle pattern on the weekly chart. The breakout followed months of consolidation, with traders watching whether previous resistance can become new support. The token recently rallied from $5.50 toward $8.50 before entering a pullback phase.
INJ Price Tests Support After Cup Handle Breakout
The current INJ price movement is focused on the 7.20–7.30 support zone, which previously acted as resistance. Giannis Andreou noted that Injective broke above the cup and handle neckline after an extended consolidation period.
A successful retest of this area could help confirm the breakout structure. However, the 4-hour chart shows weakening short-term momentum, with the RSI at 36.18, indicating oversold conditions.
INJ/USDT 1D Price Chart Source: TradingView
Immediate resistance sits between $7.50 and $7.80. A move above this range could strengthen the recovery attempt, while a decline below $7.20 may expose the 7.00–6.80 support area.
INJ Price Outlook Tied to Injective Ecosystem Growth
Beyond technical factors, the INJ price outlook is also linked to Injective’s upcoming ecosystem developments. Analyst Lana Valentis highlighted the Meridian upgrade as a potential catalyst, with features including tokenization, native privacy tools, and expanded perpetual markets.
$INJ Cup & Handle Is Complete. You Know What Comes Next

The completed cup and handle pattern has produced projected levels of $16, $45, and $125 from technical analysis shared by market participants. These targets represent potential areas traders are monitoring rather than confirmed outcomes.
Injective continues to position itself around decentralized finance infrastructure, with developments focused on expanding on-chain financial applications. The INJ price structure now depends on whether buyers defend the breakout zone and maintain momentum above key technical levels.
