If you are evaluating a new stock, here are three essential metrics you must understand:
👉 P/E Ratio (Price-to-Earnings): This is a fundamental metric that compares a company's current share price to its per-share earnings. A high P/E might mean a stock is overvalued (or that the market expects massive growth), while a low P/E often indicates an undervalued "value" play.
👉 RSI (Relative Strength Index): This is a technical momentum indicator measuring the speed of price movements from 0 to 100. Generally, an asset is considered "overbought" (due for a pullback) above 70 and "oversold" (due for a bounce) below 30.
👉 Trading Volume: Price movements mean very little without volume backing them up. High trading volume during a breakout confirms strong market conviction, while a sudden price jump on low volume is often a trap.
