What would a "Bitcoin World" look like?
[Hyperbitcoinization]
If the Bitcoin network becomes widely used,
[like the dollar is today and like gold used to be]
Serving as:
a. Fast money with a fixed supply.
b. Running on a decentralized.
c. Open-source global ledger.
d. Supported by energy + user-operated nodes.
e. Having multiple software layers.
f. Financial institutions built on top of it.
Then commerce and governance would function differently than they do in the current monetary system. Very different.
Before the creation of #Bitcoin ,
If you wanted to send value over long distances quickly,
You had to rely on intermediaries like the flawed banking system and their associated central banks.
#Bitcoin is a groundbreaking innovation that lets people transfer value quickly without depending on any centralized third party.
For centuries,
Paper claims and banking systems were built on top of gold to improve its use as a medium of exchange.
But gold has its limits as a final settlement network.
To confirm a large bar is pure gold, the only surefire way is to melt it down and remake it.
I've been reading "Broken Money" by @LynAldenContact—a highly commendable book that I strongly recommend.
