BitMine’s Ethereum treasury has reached 5.78M ETH—approximately 4.8% of the network’s total supply.

Around 4.92M ETH is currently staked, with projected annualized staking revenue of roughly $247M.

The important shift is capital allocation: BitMine added only 7,430 ETH last week while repurchasing 5.5M of its own shares. The focus may be moving from pure accumulation toward increasing ETH exposure per share.

The main risk is concentration. A single public company now controls almost 5% of ETH supply.

Ethereum is trading around $2,400–$2,450 after gaining roughly 31% in August, and the headline driver is BitMine Immersion Technologies, which just made its largest single-week ETH purchase since June — 53,501 ETH worth about $131 million.

That buy extends BitMine's streak to 65 consecutive weeks of accumulation since launching its ETH treasury strategy in June 2025, pushing total holdings to 5.9 million ETH (about 4.9% of ETH's entire supply) and total crypto/cash holdings to $15.6 billion.

Chairman Tom Lee says ETH has outperformed the S&P 500 this quarter and points to tokenization and agentic AI as long-term demand drivers, while spot ETH ETFs logged their strongest inflow week of 2026 at $697 million. BitMine has also staked 86% of its holdings (5.07 million ETH) through its MAVAN validator network, generating an estimated $335 million in annualized staking revenue.
