Sam Altman-backed World has rolled out biometric identity verification for Zoom enterprise users worldwide. Participants can display a “Human Badge” after iris scans via World’s Orb device, live selfies, and video feeds confirm they are real people. It targets deepfake risks, including past North Korean hacker attacks on crypto firms using fake Zoom calls.
Bain Capital, Pantera, and others have joined the enterprise push. Verification stays on the user’s device; badges last 24 hours by default (extendable).
The feature follows earlier pilots and aims to secure high-stakes meetings.
