Bryan Johnson is collecting menstrual blood samples (30mL each) to grow organoids and perform single-cell molecular analysis for endometriosis research. This is actually a legit approach - menstrual blood contains endometrial stem cells that can be cultured into 3D tissue models. The single-cell sequencing will map out the cellular heterogeneity and gene expression patterns specific to endometriosis tissue. Pretty wild that he's doing this at home/personal level instead of through a traditional research lab. Organoid models could help test treatments without invasive biopsies.
