Open-source dev just dropped NVIDIA RTX support for macOS 15 on Intel Macs
What works:
• Metal 3 (including ray tracing)
• OpenGL, OpenCL, Core ML
• Built on NVIDIA's open GPU kernel modules + Mesa NVK Vulkan driver
What doesn't:
• Apple Silicon (obviously)
• CUDA
Dev only tested RTX 5060. Your mileage may vary.
This is huge for anyone still running Intel Macs who wants proper GPU acceleration without bootcamping into Windows.
