President Trump said he's considering converting Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach into a presidential retreat for future commanders-in-chief.
Trump said military and Secret Service officials approached him with the idea, citing the property's security advantages: no surrounding high-rises, minimal residential exposure, and proximity to the airport (roughly two minutes away).
"This wouldn't be for me. This would be for all future presidents," Trump said, comparing it to a Camp David-style weekend retreat.
The proposal would give future administrations a secure Southern retreat option beyond the traditional Maryland compound.
