The Solana Killer Debate Just Changed 👀

Calling every fast Layer 1 a Solana killer became one of crypto’s most exhausted narratives. $SOL earned its position through users, applications and liquidity. $SUI has always had strong technology, but technology alone was never enough to justify the comparison.

The user data is finally making that conversation more interesting.

Sui has reportedly moved ahead of NEAR, TON, Arbitrum and Injective in daily active users.

That does not mean Sui has beaten Solana.

It means Sui is beginning to clear the first hurdle that destroys most Layer 1 challengers. Getting people to actually use the network.

What makes this bullish to me is the timing. Sui has already shown huge transaction capacity, while its ecosystem is expanding across DeFi, payments, trading, gaming and consumer applications.

Now the activity numbers are starting to support the infrastructure thesis.

More active users create a stronger environment for builders. Better applications can attract more liquidity, and deeper liquidity makes the network more useful again.

That cycle is how a technically impressive chain becomes an economically important one.

Sui still needs to prove this activity is durable and that users continue returning without relying on temporary incentives.

But surpassing four recognised ecosystems on daily participation shows the gap is closing much faster than many expected.

I am increasingly convinced that Sui will not remain a speculative alternative in the Layer 1 race. It is building the usage required to become a genuine market leader.
